IT Help Desk & Customer Support (Mobile Device Specialist)

Job Description

You will provide IT help desk and mobile device support for corporate users. This role focuses on troubleshooting smartphones, MiFi devices, managing inventories, and supporting user inquiries related to device setup and line activation.

Main Responsibilities

Mobile Device & MiFi Support

  • Troubleshoot mobile devices and MiFi connectivity issues
  • Support device repair processes (Apple / iPhone)
  • Handle service error reports; communicate with mobile carriers
  • Assist with SIM card replacement
  • Support customer escalations related to mobile devices
  • Provide overseas usage provisioning
  • Coordinate with mobile team as point-of-contact
  • Install devices and MiFi units
  • Support phone line activation, initial setup, and OS updates

MiFi Operations

  • Check MiFi program participation by cost centers
  • Update internal mobile contact information
  • Handle device requests and line activation procedures

Inventory Management

  • Hardware asset management
  • Registration of new devices
  • Conduct regular inventory checks

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 (8 hours per day)

Requirements

Required:

  • No educational requirements
  • 1–2 years of mobile device or MiFi troubleshooting experience

Preferred:

  • PC hardware/software support experience
  • Experience with Active Directory, GPO, Office 365, Windows 7–10
  • Self-motivated, flexible, strong communication skills

Language Requirements

  • English: Daily conversational level (TOEIC 475–730)
  • Japanese: Fluent (JLPT N1)

Compensation

  • Annual salary: ¥4,000,000 – ¥5,000,000
  • Benefits: Social insurance, training, exam support, transportation subsidy
  • Holidays: 120+ days/year, paid leave, special leave, maternity/childcare leave

Contract Details

  • 1-year contract
  • 3-month trial period (no salary/benefit changes)
  • 90%+ conversion rate to full-time after 1 year
