Job Description

The Finance Manager leads financial operations, strategy, and operational improvements in Japan. Acts as a strategic business partner within the leadership team, providing financial insights for decision-making and proactively identifying risks and opportunities for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance global financial procedures and promote local process improvements
• Manage cash flow and optimize cash management
• Conduct monthly/year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and enforce internal controls
• Ensure compliance with Japanese laws and global policies, including taxation
• Collaborate with the global finance team on analysis, inventory, and cash management
• Participate in ad hoc projects to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
• Supervise administrative staff and oversee payroll, benefits, and vendor management
• Train and develop team members in line with global standards and corporate values

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field
• Hands-on experience in financial reporting under IFRS or USGAAP
• Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge and practical experience with Japanese tax reporting
• Japanese: Native-level or equivalent
• English: Business-level proficiency
• Preferred: payroll and contract review experience, analytical, adaptable, team-oriented

• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
