Job Description
Monotype seeks a dedicated, detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to maintain HR operations and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and manage company policies in compliance with Japanese labor laws and the Labor Standards Act
- Execute and manage daily HR operations: transfers, promotions, salary changes, and dismissals
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS and Workday systems
- Prepare reports and documentation for labor and social insurance compliance
- Handle employee consultations regarding labor issues, mental health, and leave
- Address employee inquiries on payroll, taxes, onboarding, and retirement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or equivalent experience
- 3+ years HR operations experience in companies with 100+ employees
- Multinational corporation experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of Japanese labor law
- M&A HR integration experience is a plus
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Proficient with HRIS and Workday
- Excellent organizational and confidentiality skills
