Job Description

Cornerstone Recruitment Japan K.K. is hiring on behalf of a global manufacturer of electrical and electromechanical components, PCBs, and intelligent systems. The Product Definition Engineer will support IC manufacturers in Japan by providing technical expertise, collaborating on reference designs, and delivering training to enhance IC design applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to IC manufacturers using Würth Electronics components and technology
• Conduct on-site visits to assist application engineers with reference circuit development, datasheets, and design notes
• Collaborate with the global Product Definition Engineer team on reference design projects
• Analyze new technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to support future product development
• Partner with strategic development teams to define and develop new products
• Deliver technical seminars and internal training on passive components and IC reference designs
• Support marketing initiatives, co-branding, and partnerships with IC manufacturers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in electronic circuit design
• Strong understanding of electrical design elements: capacitors, inductors, transformers, resistors, diodes
• Fluent in English (TOEIC 865+) and business-level Japanese (JLPT N2+)
• Self-motivated, proactive, and effective in multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
