Job Description

Interroll Japan is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support customer technical needs, collaborate with sales teams, and contribute to new business development. This role requires strong mechanical design skills, application engineering experience, and the ability to work closely with the sales department in Shin-Yokohama.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team during pre-sales and project phases to provide proposals, technical communication, and product application support
• Assist in concept engineering, layout creation, and project design work
• Produce detailed product layout designs, mechanical structures, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BoM)
• Design standard and non-standard mechanical equipment for intralogistics and conveyor systems
• Provide technical support to production and operations teams for assembly and on-site installation
• Coordinate with factory teams on production schedules and delivery timelines
• Perform troubleshooting and emergency maintenance at customer sites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficient with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor
• Accurate, independent, and systematic working style
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer orientation
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn

• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Language Requirements

• English: Daily conversation (TOEIC 475–730)
• Japanese: Fluent (JLPT N1 or equivalent)
• Chinese: Not required

Compensation

• Annual Salary: JPY 4,000,000 – 6,000,000
• Estimated Monthly Salary: JPY 333,333 – 500,000
