Position: Final Eye Specialist – Translation & Localization Projects

Job Description:
TransPerfect is seeking a Final Eye Specialist for its Tokyo office. This role is critical in the final proofreading and quality checking of translation/localization projects.

• Uphold TransPerfect’s quality standards
• Understand client expectations and ensure they are met
• Familiar with translation project life-cycle
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication
• Proficient in MS Office and PDF formats
• Consult with Project Managers on client specifications
• Use style guides, glossaries, and reference materials
• Proofread with focus on names, numbers, grammar, and instructions
• Submit compliance reports and suggest improvements
• Deliver final files as per client guidelines
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager

Hiring Process:

Working Hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00–19:00 (8 hours work + 1-hour break)

Requirements:

• Native Japanese with conversational English (TOEIC 475–730)
• Detail-oriented, fast learner
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe software
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

• Fluency in another language
• Experience in copy editing or translation companies
• Experience with translation memory tools

Compensation:

• Annual salary: ¥3.5 million – ¥4 million
