Role Summary

We are seeking a Final Eye Specialist to perform final proofreading and quality assurance for translation and localization projects. This role ensures client expectations and TransPerfect’s quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold company quality standards
• Proofread and finalize translations/localizations
• Focus on names, numbers, grammar, and instructions
• Consult with Project Managers on client specifications
• Use style guides, glossaries, and reference materials
• Submit compliance reports and suggest improvements
• Deliver final files according to client guidelines
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager

Requirements

Required

• Native Japanese speaker
• Conversational English (TOEIC 475–730)
• Detail-oriented, fast learner
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe software
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred

• Fluency in another language
• Experience in copy editing or translation companies
• Experience with translation memory tools

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary: ¥3.5 million – ¥4 million
• Full social insurance
• Transportation allowance (up to ¥30,000/month)
• Hybrid work model (3 days in office; during training follow manager’s instructions)

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday, 9:00–19:00 (8 hours work + 1-hour break)
• Smoke-free office

Contract Terms

• 1st year: Contract (6-month trial)
