Position Description:
This position is located in Tokyo.
Reports to the APAC General Counsel, who reports to the Deputy General Counsel (Global).
Advise on legal issues related to contractual and commercial matters, government, and regulatory laws.
Review and negotiate commercial agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage customer, vendor, and employment-related disputes.
Advise management and HR on employment issues.
Assist business units with legal and regulatory compliance.
Respond to ad-hoc inquiries, assess legal risks, and provide solutions.
Coordinate legal matters with internal and external counsel.
Collaborate with compliance and ethics teams on common concerns.
Establish ethical standards and educate on local practices.
Investigate unethical conduct in cooperation with audit and HR.
Recommend and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Law degree from a recognized university in Japan
• 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house or in a law firm
• In-depth knowledge of Japanese law; not limited to IT industry
• Foreign lawyers welcome; Japanese bar qualification not required
• Proficiency in Japanese and English (N1 level)
• Experience with corporate law, employment, and regulatory law preferred
• Strong leadership, trust-building, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Client-oriented approach

Working Hours: Full-Time

Compensation:

• Annual salary: ¥10 million – ¥20 million
• Full social insurance coverage
• Full transportation allowance
• Education and training provided

• 日本认可大学的法律学位
• 5年以上法律经验，优先有公司内部或律所经验
• 深入了解日本法律，不限于 IT 行业
• 欢迎外国律师；不要求日本律师资格
• 日语和英语流利（N1级）
• 熟悉公司法、雇佣法、监管法者优先

臨時の法務相談に応じ、リスクを評価し適切な法的解決策を提供します。
社内および外部の弁護士と連携し法的問題を調整します。
コンプライアンスおよび倫理チームと連携し共通課題に対応します。
倫理基準を確立し、地域のベストプラクティスを教育します。
内部監査・人事部門と協力し、非倫理的行為を調査し、必要な懲戒・是正措置を勧告・実行します。
その他、指示された業務。

応募資格：

• 日本国内の認定大学の法学位
• 法務経験5年以上、社内法務または法律事務所経験者優遇
• 日本法に精通（IT業界に限定せず）
• 外国法弁護士も応募可、日本の弁護士資格不要
• 日本語・英語に堪能（N1レベル）
• 企業法務、雇用法、規制法に関する知識あれば尚可
• 高いリーダーシップと信頼構築能力
