This design office specializes in interiors, product, and cosmetics design for high-end luxury brands, internationally recognized for its work on luxury retail stores. Recent projects include hotel and hospitality design using Japanese materials and techniques. The team is multinational, with a ratio of Japanese to foreign employees approximately 3:1.
Role Summary
The Interior Designer will design commercial facilities, apparel stores, hotels, restaurants, and luxury brand spaces. Work focuses on luxury brand store design and hotel FFE (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) design. The role suits designers with full project experience from concept to construction and specialized skills in hospitality or luxury retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Design luxury retail stores, including apparel and jewelry stores.
- Execute hotel and FFE design projects for international brands.
- Produce high-quality drawings using VectorWorks.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams.
- Contribute to all stages of design and construction process.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience as an interior designer (hotel design experience required).
- Skilled in VectorWorks or equivalent design software.
- Foreign nationals must have Japanese proficiency N2+ and reside in Japan.
Preferred Qualifications
- English or Chinese language ability.
- Experience in atelier-style design or construction firms (e.g., Nomura Construction, Tanseisha).
- Experience with luxury brand or hotel projects.
Working Hours
- Discretionary labor system: 9:30–18:30
Compensation
- Annual income: ¥5,000,000+
- Reference:
- Age 28 (5 years’ experience): ¥5–6.5 million
- Age 35 (10 years’ experience): ¥7–10 million
- Year-end bonus based on performance
