Job Description

Toyo Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., Japan’s leading manufacturer of rebar processing machines, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer. The role covers the full design lifecycle including concept development, drawing, prototype creation, and performance testing. The engineer will work on both new development and client-specific customization projects. Occasional business trips to client sites are required (once every two months, up to two weeks).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop rebar processing machines according to client requirements
• Create mechanical drawings and manage design process from concept to prototype
• Conduct performance checks and test runs
• Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and cross-functional teams
• Business trips as required

Requirements:

• Native-level Japanese (JLPT N1)
• Business-level English (TOEIC 700+)
• Experience in overseas sales (any industry/region)
• Basic knowledge of trade administration
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Candidate:

• Interested in using English in international sales-related projects
• Open to short-term business trips, not overseas relocation
• Seeking long-term career stability and growth

Working Hours: 8:30–17:30 (8-hour workday)
Average Overtime: ~20 hours/month

Compensation:

• Annual Salary: ¥4.05M – ¥5.55M
• Monthly Salary: ¥240,000 – ¥335,000
• Bonuses: ~4 months’ salary (performance-based)
• Salary increases based on ability/performance
• Overtime pay provided
