Job Description

HCL Japan is seeking a Medical Device Project Manager / Product Development Engineer to lead projects and collaborate with customers, ensuring quality delivery and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, tracking, and management as Project Manager / Lead
• Facilitate smooth communication between Japanese customers and offshore teams (Japanese ↔ English)
• Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly project status reports
• Understand technical requirements and deliver solutions accordingly
• Ensure delivery quality via active engagement in design verification processes
• Guide and mentor engineering teams to achieve project milestones on time and within scope
• Stay updated on new technologies and apply best practices to meet IEC, EMC, and other compliance standards

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of project lead or project management experience
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years in design verification for electromechanical or medical device projects
• Knowledge of materials and mechanical design is a plus
• Electronics design or analog circuit experience is an advantage
• Understanding of IEC, EMC, and relevant safety standards
• Strong Japanese (JLPT N2+) and English (TOEIC 735–860) communication skills
• Willing to commute or relocate to Fukushima

Compensation

• Annual Salary: ¥6,500,000 – ¥9,000,000
