Product Definition Engineer – Integrated Circuit (IC) Support

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Product Definition Engineer to support Integrated Circuit (IC) manufacturers in Japan. This role involves providing technical expertise on power supply topologies, collaborating on reference designs, and delivering training to enhance the application of our products in IC design environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to IC manufacturers using Würth Electronics components and technology.
• Conduct frequent on-site visits to assist application engineers with reference circuit development, datasheet creation, and application/design note writing.
• Collaborate with the global Product Definition Engineer team on reference design projects.
• Analyze new technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to support future product development planning.
• Partner with strategic development teams to define and develop new products.
• Deliver technical seminars and internal training sessions on passive components and IC reference designs.
• Support marketing initiatives, co-branding efforts, and partnerships with strategic IC manufacturers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in electronic circuit design.
• Strong understanding of core electrical design elements including capacitors, inductors, transformers, resistors, and diodes.
• Fluent in English (TOEIC 865+); business-level proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher).
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.

Working Hours:

• 对基本电气设计元件（如电容、电感、变压器、电阻、二极管等）有良好理解。
• 英语流利（TOEIC 865以上）；日语达到商务水平（JLPT N2或以上）。
• 自我驱动、积极主动，能在多学科团队中高效工作。
• 能接受最多40%的国内及国际出差。

主な業務内容：

• Würth Electronics の製品と技術を活用し、ICメーカーに技術サポートを提供
• 現地を頻繁に訪問し、アプリケーションエンジニアと連携してリファレンス回路の開発、データシートの作成、アプリケーション／設計ノートの執筆を支援
• グローバルなプロダクトディフィニションエンジニアチームと協力し、ICメーカーのリファレンスデザインプロジェクトを推進
• 新技術や市場動向、顧客ニーズ、製品要件を収集・分析し、将来の製品開発計画を支援
• 戦略的製品開発チームと連携し、新製品の定義・開発を実施
• ICメーカーのエンジニアに対して、受動部品や製品に関する理解を深めるための技術セミナーを実施
• 社内向け技術トレーニングを実施し、ICリファレンスデザインとその技術への理解を促進
• ICメーカーとの戦略的パートナーシップマネージャーと連携し、市場プロモーションや共同ブランド展開、協業関係の構築を推進

応募資格：

• 電子工学、電気工学、または関連する工学分野の学士号または修士号
• 関連する職務経験が2年以上あり、電子回路設計の経験がある方を優遇
• 基本的な電子設計要素（コンデンサ、インダクタ、トランス、抵抗器、ダイオードなど）に関する十分な知識
• 英語が堪能であること（TOEIC 865点以上）
• 日本語ビジネスレベル以上（JLPT N2以上）
• 自発的でエネルギッシュな方。マルチディシプリナリーチームの一員として協力できる方
• 国内外の予期しない出張が最大40%可能であること
