Job Description
We are a team of specialists handling IP rights acquisition, enforcement, and dispute resolution. The role involves document preparation for patent offices and courts, participating in oral arguments, and using legal and technical knowledge to protect client interests globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit documents to patent offices and courts
- Participate in oral arguments and hearings
- Provide strategic advice on IP acquisition, enforcement, and disputes
- Collaborate with domestic and international clients
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Japan Patent Attorney qualification
- 3+ years practical experience in patent-related work
- Advanced English (Business Conversation Level: TOEIC 735–860)
- Native-level Japanese
- Strong legal and scientific knowledge
- Logical thinking, persuasive writing and oral argument skills
- Sense of responsibility and mission
Working Hours
- 9:00–18:00 (60-minute break)
- Discretionary labor system / Flex time available
- Overtime applicable (no overtime allowance due to discretionary system)
Compensation
- Expected annual salary: JPY 5,000,000–8,000,000 (merit-based)
- Patent attorney allowance included
- Full commuting allowance (12 installments)
- Social insurance: Health, pension, employment, work injury
- Paid leave: 2 days after 3 months, 8 days after 6 months
- Holidays: 125 days/year (Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays)
